Background
The speed of technology brought a lot goodies to modern life. But also a big distance between people. People connect online but disconnect offline. Spoleto, an italian fast food restaurant, wanted to change this scenario and Christmas was the best time for this.
Idea
Presenting the Shared Table. A table that turns strangers into friends. The regular restaurant tables were replaced with a extra big round table with Christmas decorations and free Cokes on the house. Whenever someone took a seat, a message was sent to their phone using geolocation: You are already sitting at the same table. Drop the phone and share this moment. It's christmas time!
Results
People spent 23 min more in Spoleto than normal - 395% more video shares than usual - The video engagement equals 69 days of non-stop viewing - 1714% more likes than the average post - Proven fact: sharing in real life is much better
