Background

When Burger King announced they were returning to France, there was a lot of clamour in social media for the chain to open a restaurant in their city.

Because this was not possible, Burger King found a solution. They would help people who lived in places where there was no restaurant to move to a city where there was.

Idea

Whopper Move Out was a removals company that helped people relocate to a city where there was a Burger King. Launched in a video on Facebook, fans were invited to apply for a free relocation. Two months later, the winners were on their way.

Results

More than 500 people were ready to cross the entire country to get closer to a Burger King. The campaign generated earned media worth €3m and showed that if BK fans were ready to do anything for a Whopper, BK was ready to do anything for them.
