Background

As a result of the pandemic, Brazil suffered a sharp reduction in stocks in blood banks.

Chevrolet, who had been advising people to leave their cars in the garage with a message to say, “It will pass”, were pleased to be able to provide constructive help.

Idea

Working in partnership with Hospital Albert Einstein, Chevrolet transformed a truck into a blood donation centre.

With five blood donation booths, mobile tents for donor interviews, a screening office and shelving for material storage Medical professionals supervised the donations while the truck was parked outside the Eldorado shopping mall in Sao Paulo.

Our Thoughts

I think it was the agency who came up with this idea of bringing their client together with the hospital to meet an urgent social need.

It’s good for the industry when agencies are proactive like this. And it’s good for Chevrolet. When people see their brand commercials, they’ll know they come from a company that doesn’t just say it’s “there for you” but actually is – taking up a lot of the carpark of a large shopping centre.
