Background
The UK was put into lockdown on March 23rd in an unprecedented step to try to limit the spread of coronavirus. At that time there had been 335 deaths. As the pressure mounted on the health services, the country could only follow events with a growing feeling of helplessness.
Idea
Wunderman Thompson producer, Henry Wiltshire, teamed up with industry friends, director/creative duo, Luke Nutt and Mike Rodgers to capture on film what the city felt like during lockdown and how our eerily silent streets belied the life and death experiences taking place in the country’s hospitals. All the footage was captured on mobile phones during the team’s daily walks and their families became participants.
In the film, NHS doctor Dr. Anna Kunnenkeril describes how she and her colleagues found themselves overwhelmed emotionally and physically by the relentless demands they faced. But, in a change of mood and tempo, she goes on to talk about the incredible support they received from the public.

Our Thoughts
There are always more reasons for not doing something than for doing it. Like, there isn’t a brief, there isn’t a brand involved, there isn’t any money, we’re stuck in our homes, we’re not an agency etc. But three people ignored logic to try and make some magic. Through them, over half a million people have also been able to admire the incredible work of Dr. Anna Kunnenkeril and her colleagues in the National health Service.
