Background

Australians love cats. But people think cats can look after themselves. So they weren’t de-sexing, microchipping or containing them. This left 35,000 cats in RSPCA NSW shelters every year. 90% never find their way back home.

Idea

RSPCA NSW needed owners to listen to their cat care guidelines to address the crisis. So an album was released, giving cats a voice. "Cat Ballads - Music to Improve the Lives of Cats" is an album of 4 original tracks in different musical styles, about de-sexing, microchipping and containment.

Results

From a media budget of AU$1000, at last count Cat Ballads earned 22.5million impressions
