Background
Introducing the world’s first radio show hosted by dogs
Hau-Hau Champion and Finnish Helmiradio are making history. The two have teamed up to produce a radio show like never before: the tunes are brought to you by dogs! Tune in for this pawsome experience premiering today on Helmiradio.
Idea
Clear your schedules for Wednesdays and Fridays, there’s a new favorite activity for you and your doggo. Helmiradio’s Hauvantai Night Fever, the world’s first radio show is hosted by the furry DJ-duo Mister Servo and Beibi-Einar with guest appearances by their tail-wagging friends.
-Hauvantai Night Fever is great fit for Helmiradio - we provide our listeners with a good atmosphere and this program delivers exactly that. We are delighted to introduce such unique radio content together with Hau-Hau Champion, says radio executive Satu Risteli.
Dogs find music relaxing
Hauvantai Night Fever offers a feel-good vibe and induces relaxation for dogs and their owners. According to various scientific research, music has a proven calming effect on dogs.
Studies have showcased that the majority of dogs enjoy particularly the sounds of soft rock and reggae music. Like humans, dogs’ music taste also vary individually. Therefore, what better solution is there than to provide a show filled with a selection of genres and a happy atmosphere, states H-Hau Champion’s Brand Manager Camilla Ahlsved.
The new radio show is an alternative way to boost our pets’ wellbeing and have them spend quality time with their owners in the midst of a hectic everyday life. Music is good for dogs, but more importantly the presence of the owner and their time spent together is what really counts. Hauvantai Night Fever offers both relaxing music and tail-wagging dialogue, explains Ahsved.
New and unique content
The show concept is a new experience to both the listeners as well as the producer Hau-Hau Champion. The idea was born out of the will to create unexpected and unique content centering dogs.
-The show’s music is a natural continuum to Helmiradio’s sound, which means that listeners get to enjoy the 80’s and 70’s classic hits. However, since the show is hosted by dogs, new and thrilling turns are to be expected, Risteli teases.
Hauvantai Night Fever starts on 2nd of May on Helmiradio on Wednesdays and Fridays at 6PM GMT +2. The show is also available on live streaming app Supla.
