Background
Marionnaud is one of Europe’s biggest perfume retail chains. In 2012, the brand celebrated its tenth anniversary in Switzerland. In a year packed with marketing activities, the challenge was to create an initial give-away as a means of mobilizing and motivating senior staff. The self-confident motto was: 10 years’ expertise in fragrance.
Idea
A self-assured and at the same motivating gift for senior staff fitting to the motto: the first memory game without pictures but with fragrances. The only way to pair up the cards was by identifying matching fragrances, like rose, musk, lavender, vanilla and so on. It was an intriguing challenge, even for the fragrance professionals at Marionnaud.
Results
The unusual give-away was very enthusiastically received. Within the company, it was the number one topic of conversation and encouraged members of staff to solve the fragrance memory game together. It served as additional motivation for the anniversary year.
