Background

Vivo, the giant telecom company, part of Telefonica Group, released its last campaign to celebrate Mother’s Day. Created by Y&R Brazil the main film shows the importance of connections to bring people together in this special Holiday. The script uses video calls windows where people are talking to their mothers and wishing them a great day, building up a message from different voices and creating a single speech.

Idea

For the background of the film the agency brought imagens from cities all over Brazil to show that Vivo’s connection can reach several regions around the country, even with the social distance and isolation period we’ve all been through. All the shooting was made following the World Health Organization recommendations, from the city shots, made by a drone, to the video messages, directed remotely. “This film represents a unique moment we’re living in Mother’s Day 2020. We intend to show our consumers that Vivo will always be there connecting them. The video calls shows that even being far away, everybody can be connected to their moms from inside their homes. More than ever, connection is essential to bring people together.” says Marina Daineze, Communications Director of Vivo.
